Blue Zoisite (ブルーゾイサイト, Burūzoisaito) is one of the Gems who presumably took patrol duty in the past. They were took to the Moon by Lunarians prior to the beggining of the story.

Appearance[]

Blue Zoisite has a deep blue color scheme that borders on indigo and a patch of white on the right side of their head and wears the winter or summer uniform but are usually seen wearing the winter uniform with a loose tie and shirt collar. They have short, messy hair swept to the left in a boyish hairstyle, the right part of their hair and head is white, unlike the rest of their body.

Manga Spoiler

After becoming a lunarian, Blue Zoisite is mostly seen naked.

As of Chapter 95, Blue Zoisite has become a Lunarian and therefore has lost their unique deep blue and white colors.

End of spoiler.

Personality[]

As revealed in the artbooks, they were a delinquent and were shown to be rather lazy, prefering to sleep than doing anything else, its mentioned they write amazing poems, its unknown if this was their original occupation on earth, or if it is a hobby they picked up after becoming a Lunarian.

Story[]

Before the start of the story, they were taken by The Lunarians while fighting along with Peridot.

They were restored along with the other Gems in Chapter 95 and turned into a Lunarian, they seem to be among the crowd.

Gem Info[]

  • Mineral : Sorosilicate
  • Chemistry : (Ca2Al3(SiO4)(Si2O7O(OH)) + (Cr,Sr)
  • Colour : Blue

Blue or violet varieties of zoisite are also called tanzanite.

Tanzanite forms as a brownish crystal and is trichroic - which means it shows three colors - brown, blue and violet concurrently. Heating, either naturally underground by metamorphic occurrences or artificially in a furnace, removes the brown or burgundy color component to produce a stronger purplish-blue color and makes the stone "dichroic" which means it only reflects blue and violet. Rarely, gem-quality tanzanite will heat to a green primary hue, most often accompanied by a blue or violet secondary hue. These green tanzanites have some meaningful value in the collector market but are seldom of interest to commercial buyers.
